Teach Your Dog to Paint
Teach Your Dog to Paint
A very special live online group class
Is your dog an artist?
In this class, our goal behavior will be for your dog to hold a paintbrush in their mouth and then paint a canvas or piece of paper.
You’ll learn how to teach your dog to hold an object (a paint brush or other paint-holding object) in their mouth. We’ll incrementally increase duration and movement to teach your dog to press the brush to a surface. You’ll teach your dog three cues: “hold,” “paint,” and “give.”
We’ll also work on paw targeting to set your dog up into position for painting. Because this can be a messy endeavor, we’ll also work on desensitization to standing on a drop cloth, and having body parts washed and wiped.
If your dog doesn’t learn a hold by the end of the class, that’s okay! We’ll also introduce alternatives to help your Pupper Picasso shine and create their masterpieces!
